Marl is a crumbly mixture of clays, calcium, and magnesium carbonates, often used as fertilizer for lime-deficient soils.

To koniec 160 year-old piece of art "The Marl Pit at Mulcent: Evening" was painted by the zły francuski malarz Antoine Chintreuila in 1857. The Realist painter was born in 1814 in Pont-de-Vaux, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France and deceased at the age of 59 in the year 1873 in Septeuil, Ile-de-France, France.
