The name "palace of Belisarius" for this building is a fancy wording as it was widespread in the 19th century. In reality, it is in the building around the Tekfur Saray to those palace, which during the last 200 years of the Byzantine Empire the Basileus, the Byzantine emperor, served as a residence.
